CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES.
“Spirit” was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. The Golden Text was from T John 4:12, 13: “No man hath seen God at any time . . . Hereby we know that we dwell in Him, and He in us. because he hath given us of His Spirit.” Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon were the following from the Bible: "Now there are diversities of gilts, but the same Spirit. For by one Spirit are we all baptised into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” (I Cor. 12:4, 13.) Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy: “The scientifically Christian explanations of the nature and origin of man destroy all material sense with immortal testimony. This immortal testimony ushers in the spiritual sense of being, which can be obtained in no other way.” (p. 490.)
