PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 7. Despite two choking spasms in which the baby ceased breathing for several seconds, the doctors believe they are winning the fight for the life of Mrs Boccawsini’s child, which was born as the result of a Caesarian operation performed after the mother’s death. THE BABY DIES. Received August 9, 10.5 a.m. NEW YORK, Aug. 8. Mrs Boccawsini’s baby died after living 46 hours. The surgeons failed to recall life by blowing air into it* lungs.
