SCHOOL RUGBY.

PREPARATION EOR TOURNAMENT. With a view to selecting the Rugby team to represent Manawatu in the coming primary schools quadrangular tournament at Wanganui, teams from Palmerston North and Te Kawau schools met this morning on the Showgrounds. Two very short spells were played, there being no score in the first, while Te Kawau scored three unconverted tries in the second, the scorers being Mudford (Taihorea), Webb (Glen Oroua) and Mossop (Rongote'a). After that the selectors changed the teams around and two further short spells were played. The teams in the tournament are Wanganui, Manawatu, Wellington and Wairarapa.
