SOON BECOMING COLD. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 6. A depression crossed the Dominion last night and a shallow one is still located to the north-west; an anticyclone lies south-east of Australia and the western Tasman Sea. Forecast: Light to moderate but increasing southerly winds, later reaching gale force at times. Weather: Fine at first but soon becoming cold and changeable and showers probable. Seas moderate but rising. RIVER GAUGE AT PALMERSTON NORTH.
