W.D.F.U.

The monthly meeting of the W.D.F.U. was presided over by Mrs R. H. Buchanan. There was a good attendance. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames A. K. Prouse, E. Green, and W. Green, and sympathy was expressed with these ladies in their illness. The housekeeping secretary (Miss Mayo) reported that one housekeeper had been employed during the month. Mrs R. H. Buchanan extended an expression of thanks to all who had assisted with the recent Farmers’ Ball. At the next meeting Sister Banks, of the Palmerston North Hospital, is to give a lecture on “Health.” It was decided to Hold a stag bridge evening during August in aid of the housekeeping funds. Remits for the annual conference were discussed.
