ROUND TABLE CLUB.

TALK BY AIISS F. ROSS,

Ar iss C. AA'arburton presided over a good attendance at the meeting of the Round Table Club, which was held in the Y.AV.C.A. rooms last night. An address on “Current Events” was given by Air R. H. Billens who dealt particularly with developments in Spain, Ireland and America.

Aliss F. Ross was the speaker, her subject being “Early Manawatu,” which she presented in a most informative way, giving word pictures of the earliest settlers sixty years ago and.of the beginnings of the activities that led to the development of Palmerston North as the most important inland city in the Dominion. Thanks were conveyed to Air Billens by Miss AVarburton and to Aliss Ross by Mrs N. Galbraith.
