EXTRACTS FROM “STANDARD.” JULY 6, 1907. A school had been erected at Himatangi. At a meeting of the College Street School Committee it had been reported that the roll number was 425. Messrs Rutherfurd and Inder had been appointed a visiting committee. The Marton Jockey Club’s steeplechase meeting had been advertised. Tho Hunt Cup had been worth £3O, and a double totalisator had been in use. It had been reported that dairy factories in the Mnnawntu district had been offered and lOd for the following season’s butter. Young lambs had made their appearance on Mr R. Davies’s property at Kumeroa. Ste(w had been under wav to form a branch of the Anti-Asiatic Loague in Palmerston North.
