A bomb placed in an electric cable tunnel with the intention qF assassinating the Premier (Dr Oiivicra Salazar) en route to Mass, exploded as he left his motor car outside his private chapel, tearing a twelve-foot hole and damaging the frontages ot the houses. Dr Salazar was not hurt and smilingly entered the chapel and bade the service proceed, after which the crowds cheered him.
