OBITUARY.

MRS E. N. LTFFITON. The death lias occurred of Mrs Charlotte Frances Liffiton, one of Wanganui's pioneer citizens. The eldest daughter of the late Mr Joseph Chadwick, who for many years was an auctioneer in Wangnnui, the deceased lady was born in London. She accompanied her parents to Australia, and some years later came with them to J<ew Zealand. Mrs Liffiton had resided in Wanganui for 70 .years. Mrs Liffiton's husband, the late MiEdward N. Liffiton, was also a wellknown auctioneer in Wanganui, and took a prominent part in local body affairs. He died several years ago. Mrs Liffiton was an energetic member of Christ Church, and an enthusiastic supporter of benevolent societies. She is survived by a son. Mr Edward F. Liffiton and two daughters, Miss Liffiton and Mrs Miles (Feilding).
