THE STOCK MARKET.
FEILDING SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report, on the Feilding salo held on the 2nd instunt, a» follows: Heavy entries again came forward in all sheep departments. Full-mouth breeding ewes predominated in the owe section, with the bloom perhaps a little belter than was tho case at the previous week’s sale. Local competition absorbed the lot, and values hardened approximately by 2s per head. Thcro were five pens of young ewes in tho offering and tho quality and size were unattractive. A small entry of wethers sold fully up to late rates. Store lambs were plentiful and, considering tho quality, sold well, wethers in particular. There was again a heavy entry of all classes in the fat section, with values firm on late rates. There was a moderato yarding in tho dairy cattle section and a free salo was the order for both cows and heifers showing quality and calving reasonably early. Hotter cattlo filled one race and sold briskly. values being in advance of these ruling tho previous weok. Fat cows ex dairy made up tho bulk of tho fat cattle offering and the market was steady with no appreciation in values. The offering of run cattle was negligible.
