A shallow westerly depression is passing in the south to-day but an intense anti-cyclone covers Australia and is moving towards the south-east quarter. Forecast: Light to moderate northwesterly winds, freshening somewhat but a change to southerlies probable within 24 hours. Weather fine at first but Inter becoming cold and changeable with some showers. Seas slight to moderate but rising.
