YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES. Trading was rather moro active on tho Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday and an improved turnover was recorded. Tho markets generally were a little brighter and several issues sold at firmer rates. Government loans were firm on a keen demand, with but few sellers showing. Bank issues wero a shade better, hut the inquiry was restricted. Industrial and trading issues were quiet, but the undertone was firmer. New Zealand Breweries advanced sharply to business at 52s 6d, an advance of 5s since last week, and buyers stayed in at that, price. Loading Austnilains were firmer. G. J.
