KELVIN GROVE.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) KELVIN GROVE, July 1. There was a good attendance at tho fortnightly euchre party. The winners were:—Ladies, Mrs \\ alkcr; consolation, Mrs Gore. Men, Mr It. Mercer; consolation, Mr J. Smith. After supper dancing was hdd. On Wednesday night, euchre enthusiast* from Kairanga journeyed to Kelvin Grove to play for the shield, but were unsuccessful. The local players won tho shield for the fourth lime in succession. At the animal Sunday school lea and prize giving in the Fitzrov Street Gospel Hull, Palmerston Norlh. tho children from tin* district were motored in by Mr lieNao. After tea the children were given an interesting object lesson by Air E. Whilehead. Mr Bcardsworth led iho singing of hymns, Air Arnold presented the prizes, ami Air Oppatt gave a brief summary on the Kelvin Grove Sunday school.
