Mr and AHs D. Pauling are Masterton visitors to Palmerston North and are the guests of Mr and Mrs Hoffeins, of Alfred Street. Mrs B. Blythe, of Palmerston North, has been visiting 'Wellington.

Mrs L. Seifert, junr., of Palmerston North, is spending a holiday with her mother, Mrs Pilcher, of Hataitai, Wellington.

Mr and Mrs H. A. Seifert, of Russell Street, are visiting Wellington. Miss N. Welch, of Karori, Wellington, who has been visiting Hawke’s Bay and Pahiatua, is now staying with Miss Barbara Mi.ler. Miss J. Horrocks is an Auckland visitor to Palmerston North, and is the guest of Dr. and Mrs R. Chisholm. News from England states that Mrs S. Trask, formerly of Palmerston North, was in London for the Coronation, and the day before she placed a cross of roses and carnations on the Cenotaph, in memory of Palmerston North men who fell in the Great War.

A meeting of the ladies' committee in charge of supper arrangements for the social and dance to be tendered the young farmers attending the Educational Week in Palmerston North shortly, was held yesterday, Mrs J. Russell presiding. Mesdames W. J. Croucher and E. B. Jennings were appointed to take charge of the table decorations, and Mesdames H. R. Orem (Kairanga) and D. Evans, the sandwiches and cakes. It was deemed tnat the committee ladies should wear cards bearing their names, and Mrs K. Dean will take charge of having these printed.
