JAPANESE SHIP SEIZED
CHINESE HIDDEN ON BOARD. Chinese hidden on board overpowered the captain and mate and seized a Japanese coastal vessel bound for Chinwongtao. They steered the ship, which had been properly cleared from Dairen, to Chefoo, and handed her over to the Customs authorities. 'aijai’-'se Consul at Chefoo has demanded release of the vessel and punishment of the Chinese.
