SPRINGBOKS’ MATCH.
LACK OF SEATS AT AUCKLAND. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 2. A large number of cheques, moneyorders and pound notes are being returned by the Auckland Rugby Union to enthusiasts all over the Dominion because of the inability to reserve seats for all applicants for the first Springbok match against Auckland on July 24.
Up to £2O a day has been returned. The Licensed Victuallers, who will be holding a conference in Auckland, asked for 100 seats, but the request was declined. A Sydney enthusiast sent a cheque covering the cost of seats for the Auckland and "Wellington matches, also for the three Tests. The cheque has been returned. By the time the requirements of affiliated sub-unions have been met, twothirds of the main stand, which holds 1400 people, will have been reserved. Preferential bookings for the public will be by a system of coupons. Ten thousand school children will be accommodated in the front of the picket fence surrounding the playing area.
