Received July 3. 1.20 p.m. WINNIPEG, July 2. The heat continues to take toll of the crops and threaJtens Manitoba and South Saskatchewan. Rain is needed everywhere. Mr Fred Hailes, a prominent grower, has been found dead in his ruined fields, a gun by his side.
