The nominal quotation for bagged wheat is about 5s Gd a bushel, and at country sidings about 4s 8 ? d. Local buyers are operating with gieat Ca Flour, £l2 Us a ton. Bran, £7 5s a ton. Pollard, £7 10s a ton Potatoes. —Tasmanian, Lo ; others, LI 10s a ton. Onions, brown, £l3 a ton. Maize, yellow and white, 5s 9d a bushel.
A S a result of thorough tests earned out with 220.000 cows in the United States, experts have come to the conclusion that the larger the cow the bigger its milk yield will be, size being based on measurements and not weight In any particular breed, it has been found, the larger . cows on an average give bigger yields than smaller ones, both of milk and butter fat. In addition, they produced a higher income over the cost of iced.
