LATE MR J. BELK.

There was a large assemblage at the limeral of the late Mr John Belk, Prior to the cortege leaving the residence in Warwick Street a service "ns conducted by llev. H. W. Pago, Baptist minister. A representative attendance of Podding residents was present at the service to express sympathy and respect to the window and family in their sorrow- Among the floral tributes were those from the Baptist Church, officers of the telegraph branch of the Auckland Fast Office and the postmaster and staff, Tc Kniti (a member of the family being on tile staff). At the home and graveside the pall-bearers were five sons and Mr It. Bade. At the Sunday morning service in the Baptist Church, Rev. Air Pago paid tribute to the late Air Belli and family, basing his remarks on the talent Air Belli had teen endowed with, of searching to find out the secrets of mechanical movements, and harness them.
