WOODVILLE.
WOODVILLE, July 1. The June meeting of the Woodvillo District High School committee was held this week, when the chairman (Mr It. It. Johnston) presided. Also present were Messrs F. DeMalmanehe, T. Smith, E. J. Harding, L. Williams, H. J. MePeak, H. Peebles and A. M. Pickering (secretary). An apology for absence was received from Mr L. J. Whittington. The chairman stated that nothing further had been done in the matter of the distribution of milk at district schools, ns information was being awaited from those promoting the scheme at Dannevirke. Appreciation was expressed of the action of Mrs A. S. Hutching, of Woodvilie, in giving a photograph of tin late Mr W. G.' Crawford, the first headmaster of the school, to he unveiled during the jubilee celebrations. The headmaster (Mr W. 14. Fosetle) reported a roll number of 256 and an average attendance of 24.0.3 Of the £2O voted by the committee for the establishment of a library £ls 7s 9d had been spent. Cocoa had been supplied to all children willing to bring 3d or milk.
