INCIDENT AT BELFAST

Received Julv 2, 12.45 p.m, LONDON, July 1

The 12-foot high Republican memorial cross erected in 1912 in memory of “those who died for the freedom of Ireland” was blown up with gelignite at Militown cemetery, Belfast. Beneath it was buried a Republican executed by Free State supporters.
