LONG CYCLING TOUR
TRIP THROUGH AUSTRALIA. Received Julv 2. 9.50 a.m. LONDON. July 1. Equipped with a tent, three sleeping bags, axe and £4O, Messrs J. Algar and AV. Barber, both aged 22, and Mr L. Cross, aged 25. left Downing Street to-day to cycle through Australia under the auspices of the Council of Empire Settlement. The Secretary for Dominion Affairs (Air Malcolm MacDonald) fsi.rewelled them at the Dominions Office. It is expected (hat the tour will take eighteen months.
