A TOURIST’S ERROR.
AUSTRALIA A COLONY OF NEW ZEALAND. SYDNEY, June 30. The Sun newspaper features a photograph and an interview with an overseas visitor who arrived by the Wanganella from New Zealand to-day and who states that he ‘dikes this part of New Zealand.” His name is Joseph Brown, from the south of France. He told an interviewer that ho had never enjoyed himself so much as in New Zeaiaiid and had never previously met people so kindly and thoughtful. He added: “You have a wonderful country.” “But,” inquired the interviewer, “what cities in this country have you seen enabling you to form an opinion?” “Oh, Wellington,” Mr Brown replied. Fellow passengers thought that Mr Brown regarded Australia as a Now Zealand colony. He left the wharf •sniffing with obvious appreciation of the bracing New Zealand air.
