TASMAN AIR SERVICE.
NEW ZEALAND TERMINAL. NO DECISION REACHED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 30. Referring to the termiilal for the trans-Tasman service when speaking at to-day’s luncheon tendered by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce to the directors and officers of Union Airways in appreciation of the establishment of the Wellington-Auckland service, the Postmaster-General (Hon. F. Jones) said that a decision had not yet been made. Wellington’s- claims would be given due weight, but the decision definitely was one for experts, who would particularly take into account the paramount question of safety. ■ The part that the Government .was taking in the encouragement of aviation in construction of aerodromes, training of pilots, provision of radio, meteorological and postal facilities, and the examination of machines, was outlined by the Minister, who conveyed the congratulations of the Government to Union Airways.
