DEATH AT SEA.

PASSENGER ON AIATUA. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 30. Tho death and burial at sea of one of tho passengers in tho motor-ship Alatua was reported when the vessel returned from the Cook Islands. The passenger was John Fernie Roberts, a 38-year-old farmer from the Taihape district, who was making the round .trip. The nlatua loft Auckland for RaroItonga on June 17, and on the morning of June 19, a steward found that Air Roberts had taken ill. As there is no doctor on board the ship a wireless message explaining the patient s symptoms was sent to the Auckland Hospital and advice as to treatment was sent back by one of tho medical staff. Air Roberts died seven hours later, however, and was buried at daybreak on the next day.
