YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS AND PRICES. A slightly firmer tone in Bank of Now Zealand shares was the main feature of business on the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday. Sales were made at 45s 3d and the J) long term issue was 3d up on a sale at 26>j 6d. Other bank issues showed practically no change. South British Insurance advanced 6d to business at 9fia. Trading was rather dull and the turnover was small. Government louns wero steady and two small parcels wero sold at about lato rates. Goldsbrough Mart wero easier at 35« 2d, sellers 35s bd. Industrial and trading issues wero generally quiet. New Zealand Brew-eries-firmed to 49s 9d, but no sellers were offering. The rights were firm at 235. Broken Hill Proprietary oased to business at 80s 3d and 79s 6d, but late buyers wore offering 80s, sellers asking 80s 9d. Electrolytic Zinc and Mount Lycll were easier. G. J.
