A surrey of the calls received by the Palmerston North Fire Brigade for the quarter from April to .Juno 30 in the past four years shows that there lias been a steady increase, false alarms having predominated. .Details of the comparison are as fol-
The number of calls received last month was the largest recorded for June for several years. Last month’s summonses show that the brigade was called to attend eight fires, seven chimney fires, two malicious false alarms and one hedge fire.-
