(From Oar Own Correspondent.) FOXTON. June 29. In the club championship competitions throughout Horowhcnua last Saturday in the senior division wins wore, secured by Shannon. Otaki. Moutoa, and Punahuu; in die junior football by Raimi, Foxton, Shannon. and Paekakariki, and in the third grade bv Athletic. Punahau, and Wanderers' the positions of the teams in the .various competitions are: —Senior: Shannon. lCpts; Otaki, 16; Athletic, 12; Foxton, 19; Moutoa. 3; I’unalinu, 3; Kuku. 8; Wanderer:-, 6; Hui Mai. 6. Junior: Moutoa. 16 pis; Paekakariki, 14; Otaki 12; Rabui, 12; Athletic, 9; Shannon, 8; Foxton, 7; lVainieha. 7; I’urnpat'amnu, 5. Third grade: Athletic. 18pts; Punahuu. 14; Foxton, 10; Wanderer?, 6; Shannon, 4; Moutoa,, 0. Mr and Mrs L. M. Saywoll' left yesterday to lake up their residence in Martor, where Mr Saywell will join the Post Office staff. Mix T. Saunders, of Palmerston North, is a visitor to Foxton. Mesdames :J. K. and R. O. lJnrnblow left hy the Limited express last evening for the north. They intend visiting Rotorua and Auckland. Bruce, the eldest son of Mr and Mrs C!. F. Smith, of Foxton, is reported to he making good towards recovery from his recent, accident. He is still an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital. Mr W. Baker, 'who was admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital last week as a result of an accident, has been discharged. Tt will be some time before ho will ho able to resume work.
