From Our Own Correspondent.) EKETAIIUNA, Juno 28. Aliss M. T. 801 l has returned to Niroaha from the Pahiatua Hospital. Aliss 11. Drysdalo and Air E. Drysdule aro on holiday. Miss P. Holloway is on holiday in Alasterton. Air and Alt's R. Spring and Mr B. Bradley aro the guests of Air and Airs J. Spring, Nireaha, bciore leaving for Napier and Gisborne. A quiet wedding tvas celebrated in Opunake when Kathnnc Alonica Bradley was married to Ronald (Pat) Spring. Rev. Father Ouceloc celebrated Nuptial Mas*. The bride, who woro magnolia satin benute, fitting closely to the figure, with a slight train, cowl neckline nnd cartridge pleated sleeves nnd u dainty embroidered veil, was attended by her sister Molly, who wore daffodil satin hcaute, cut similarly to the bride’s gown, with a cape, and finished with a matching picture hat and shoes. The guests wero confined to re latives, among whom wero Air and Airs J.
Spring, sour, (parents of tho groom, Nireaha), Miss I. Sring, Messrs M., and B. Spring (NircaJia), A. Spring (Masterton), Mr and Mrs J. A. Spring (Ekotahuna), Mias A. Borry (Dunedin), and Mr B. Bradley (Gisborne). When Mr and Mrs 11. Spring left . for thoir honeymoon, Mrs Spring wore a beige woven frock, beige coat, and matching bowler hat. The Hastwells Table Tennis Club beat tho local players by 76 games and 35 sets to 32 games and 10 sets. Tho basketball match between Old Girls and Secondary A resulted in the latter winning by 7 to 6. Messrs B. Broomhull and A. Brannignn are visiting Riverton. Nurse A. Berry, of the Timaru Hospital, is spending her vacation with her mother. Nurse A. M. Berry. Mr T. Denby, of Wellington, has been visiting Eketahunn. Mr M. Spring returned on Saturday from a visit to Wellington. Miss M. Wilton, of Penrose, Auckland, who attended the Saxby-Wil-ton wcdd : ng in Wellington, has been the guest of Mrs I l ’. Preston. At (lie meeting of the District Nursing Committee, Miss A. Anderson was appointed president and Mrs E. M. Simmers
secretary. A new permanent district nurse, Nurso Byrne, roceatly sister at the Taumarunui Hospital, was appointed to succeed Nurso Falkner. At the social afternoon held by tho Croquot Club competitions were won by Mesdaines Walton, Richardson, and Toohill. Mrs Mollatt sang, accompanied by Mrs Richardson. Mr Cole, Featherston, is visiting Mr and Mrs F. Baucke, Rongokokako. Mr and 'Mrs P. Benton, Okato, and Mr Ray Woodward, Kararito, Inglewood, arc visiting Mr and Mrs F. Goggin, Rongokokako. Mrs Y. 11. Forde has returned from Auckland, tho condition of her father showing some improvement. Mrs Rupert Robbie, Waihokc, is now making satisfactory progress. Mr 11. Wolland, first assistant., at the Ka'paroro cheese factory, was appointed, at a meeting of directors, manager to succeed Mr R. A. Joblin. Tho gift evening tendered to Mr and Mrs T. Byers by -the residents of Hongokoknko was a complete success. Miss V. Edge supplied the music for dancing.
