(From Our Own Correspondent.) AWAHOU, June 28. Snow is still . lying on the Rualnnc Ranges and the weather has been very cold, wet, and windy. r I he contractors expect to be able to commence w-ork on the new Church Ilill bridge this week. Some of the farmers who have completed orutching - operations, iifiyc.* disposed of their cm tellings at very satisfactory prices. The fortnightly euchre party points prizes were won by Mrs E. C. Spehnan and Mr J. Dawson and consolation prizes By Miss J. Blixt and Mr G- Blixt. Music for the dancing was provided by an amateur novelty orchestra. Mr and Mrs Feilding, of To Iloro, and Mr Bavliss. of Wellington, were recent guests of Mr and Mrs Saveli. Mr and Mi's J. Brown will return early in the week from a holiday at New Plymouth. Miami Mrs C. Ferguson left last week for Lower Hutt, where they intend to reside. Mr and Mrs W. Smart have returned from a motor tour.
