(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, June 23. Air and Airs Dickson, who havo been residents of Otaki lor some years, left on Saturday for Ohaupo, where they will farm. Members of tho Otaki Brass Band rendered a number of fine selections at the Otaki railway station on Satuiday evening. The music was appreciated by all in the vicinity. The col.ection amounted to £1 15s Bd. On Saturday night a number of members of the Otaki Miniature Rifle Club indulged iri firing, when some good scores were recorded. Thirteen degrees of frost were registered in Oiaki this morning. A frost fish Bffc long was found on the Otaki Beach tli s morning. Air J. McT.eavey, of Te Iloro, met with a serious accident, while in Wellington. He was standing at the rear of his truck when, it is stated, another vehicle hacked into lfm, crushing him severely. Air Me Beavey \vat conveyed to the Wcl.inglon Hospital.
