AWARDS AT AYHANGAItEI. Per Press Association. AVHANGAIIEI, June 29. The judging of the national bacon pig championship of New Zealand at' the Whangarei AVinter Exhibition was completed to-day. The co-judges were Air H. Ivneebone, supervisorgrader at the Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Co., and Air Af. J. Scott, supervisor of the pig industry ill New Zealand. .- The awards are as follow:—G. Child (Maungakaramea, Tam worth). _ 90 points, 1; G. Child (Large AY liite), 89 points, 2; S. Irwin Crookes (Maungatapere, Tamworth), 88 points, 3; W. Massey and Sons (Alangere, Tamworth-Berkshire cross), 86 points, 4- J Middleton (Otnika, Tamworth). 81 and the Kaikohe Piggery, 81 points, equal, o. .... -, , The winning' exhibit was awarded second in the on-the-lioof championship held at the summer show. Middleton’s entry , was then awarded first place in the competition. It was the largest show of bacon pigs ever staged in the Dominion or the southern hemisphere.
