GUARDS’ CORONATION UNIFORMS.
MEN MUST BAY FOR THEM. Sir Frank Sanderson (Con ) will raise in the House of Commons the question of the pay of the Life Guards being docked £7, for the cost the special uniforms issued for the Coronation. The men complain that 10s out of 15s a week is being deducted until the cost" is defrayed. This means that they will be unable to buy drinks or cigarettes or go to the cinema, until the payments are finished.
