AVIATION INDUSTRY.

SOVIET LEARNING FROM U.S.A. NEW YORK, June 27. The AVashington correspondent of the New York Times states that high Government officials are expressing concern over the growing number of Russian aeronautical engineers and mechanics being sent to the United States by the Soviet Government and who are being admitted to key plants in the United States aviation industry. They are being taught American methods, one of the conditions under which the Soviet is buying ’planes here. Officials point out the action of the companies is short-sighted as they are giving away an advantage which it took years, with Government help, to acquire.

Russia purchased aeronautical products valued at 900,000 rf-Jlars from the United States in the first lour months of 1937.
