CHARGES DISMISSED.
SEQUEL TO WOMAN’S DEATH.
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. June 28. \ taxi-driver. Noble David Morton, was charged in the Magistrate s Court to-day with negligent driving so as to cause the death of Annie Maria Ramble. , . . ,> „ A cyclist gave evidence of seeing the taxi strike Mrs Ramble while she was crossing Haglev Avenue The visibility was very bad at the time. In the opinion of the witness the taxi was travelling at 25 miles an hour. The charges against Morton were dismissed and a verdict returned that Mrs Ramble died on May 2o from laceration of the brain caused on May Id when she was knocked down by a c.u driven by Morton.
