TAIKOREA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) TAIKOHEA, Juno 28. The Tnikorca Women’s Institute recently hold a concert and dance in the Coronation Hall. In spite of an extremely cold night there was a good attendance. The following was tho concert programme: —"Ode to Friendship”; musical trio, Alisa Dcylc and friends; song, Mr Peacock (community chorus) ; duet, Misses Thompson and Aloffatt (Oroua Downs); recitation, Mr Herbert; Highland Fling, Misses Chisholm and Thompson; song, Mrs Aird; Irish jig. Bernard Hchir; solo, Air Pearce; Dutch dance, Misses Chisholm and Thompson; song, Miss MofFatt; sketch, Air Creighton and friend; ‘‘i’ete and Kepctc, the Californian Cowboys.” The accompanists were Mrs Mora, Alisa Doyle, and Mrs llehir. The M.C. was Mr J. Sullivan. The Taikorca basketball team visited Glen Oroua for a competition match, beating tlint team by 13 goals to toil. Thursday night’s euchre and dance evening was only moderately attended. Tho euchre winners were Alias Cornwall and Mr Hill.
Mr and Mrs F. Print are visiting Napier. All- and All's Burnieistci' are on a motor tour. AJiss Ida Cornwall is spending her holiday at Dannevirkc. Another holiday maker who chose Dannevirkc is Aliss Eileen Smith, while her sister Joyce went south to Titahi Bay. Air and Airs Graham are visiting Wellington. Aliss Beryl Eicliler chose Taranaki for her holiday and is staying at Stratford. Ah' anti All's A. Richmond and Air T. Richmond are visiting All- and All's Huddleston, Taikorea. Airs Lyons and family are staying in Wellington.
