RAUMAI.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) RAUMAI, June 28. Gaiety and happiness were the predominant notes of the annual ball of the Raumai Golf Club held in the Raumai Hall. Attractively decorated in tones of green and old gold (the chib’s colours), the ball made a fitting setting for the beautiful frocking of the ladies. When streamers and confetti were showered on the dancers a true carnival spirit prevailed. The joint secretaries, Miss E. Trass and Mr 11. Smart, and their willing committees had paid due attention to every detail. Among the ladies present were: Mrs MacDonald, wearing black sequined georgette; Mrs C. M. Spclman, floral chenille velvet; Mrs D. Bahner, midnight blue taffeta, white velvet cape; Mrs A. Balmcr, black georgette; Mrs Clapham, black georgette; Mrs Short, red georgette; Mrs 11. Bradley, black taffeta; Airs S. Slight, floral marocain; blisses P. MacDonald, lilac taffeta; E. Trass, primrose cloquo; G. Boekett, green taffeta; M. FitzHcrbert, pale matelassc; E. Spelman, black satin and gold lame; E. Murray, green satin; M. Templeton, blue satin; I. Montgomery, floral taffeta; O. Hemmings, cornflower cioque; J. Blackwood, purple ripple satin; E. Offwood, powder blue moire taffeta; J. Blixt, black cloquo; Pi Moran, black lacquered satin; 11. Levons, pink satin, black cape; E. Thacker, black and corn taffeta; B. Crosinan (New Plymouth), blue net; M. Black, black ring velvet; R. Johns, green floral georgette; K. Scmpter, blue satin.
