Cosy and warm inside, the rail-car in which the Minister of Railwavs (Hon. D. G, Sullivan) travelled to Napier yesterday, provided a contrast when it stood at the Palmerston North sta.n. On the platform a keen wind was blowing, but with heatfrs inside the vehicle the atmosphere there was decidedly warmer. For the Minister s use there is a large desk fitted in the rear of the car, and in the forward section there are desk facilities for hm typiste, a silent portable typewriter being in evidence. A radio set is part_ of the equipment, 60 that travelling m the car reaches a high standard of comfort and convenience.
