“PEACE ALWAYS.”
MUSSOLINI’S ITALY. FASCIST IDEALS. 1 LONDON, Nov. 26. “A peaceful, self-developing Italy, confining her citizenship benefits to producers, marching hand in hand with England regarding her Mediterranean policy, and pacifically seeking an outlet for her surplus population.” This is Signor Mussolini’s idea of a Fascist Italy, as outlined by him in a special interview with the Rome correspondent of the Chicago Tribune. Italy’s goal, he said, was the establishment of a State based on the common interests of producers and both hand and brain workers. The Duce said that tho Fascist movement reciprocated England’s friendship. Italy sought a\nigrati.on outlet in her own colonies, after which she Would develop an outlet into lands where migration was not restricted and Italians were welcomed. She hoped to solve the problem through the League of Nations and not through an aggressive war.
