COLD AND SHOWERY.

The Government Meteorologist telegraphed to-day:—The indications are tor south-easterly winds, moderate to strong. The weather, will probably prove cold and showery. Expect a very cold night. The barometer is rising, RAINFALL AT TIRITEA. Mr P. W. Toms reports that rain fell at Tiritea for 15 days last month, the maximum fall being on the 11th, when 44 points were recorded. The total for tne month was 1.75 inches.
