KUROW ROAD TRAGEDY.

NO TRACE OF HUDSON. OAMAIVU, April 30. No further developments have occurred in regard to the Wharekuri tragedy. The police are still searching for Philip Hudson, but no trace of him has yet been found. There is a possibility that if he is in the fa»t running iVaitalci river his tody may never be recovered. On several occasions previously persons who have been drowned in that river have never been seen again. The report from IVaimafce that a young man with scratches on bis face had called at a house and asked for food, and that this m.an -might be Hudson, is not regarded seriously. The riolice do not think it could have been Hudson, as the latter would be most unlikely to state from whence he came. Moreover, the clothes worn by the Waimate man dp not correspond with those worn by Hudson. However, the police have followed this and other supposed clues a>”id do not appear to have got any further forward. Should Hudson not be found dead or alive in a few dayu the inquest on (Hive Rutherford will bo resumed. In the meantime the reasons which prompted the tragady are wrapped in . mystery. Per Press Association. ' , OAMA RU, May 3. An energetic search is being continued m connection with the Wharekuri trauedv but so far no trace of Philip Hudson ha? wen discovered.
