HOME FIXTURE LIST. PROVISIONAL DATES MADE. At yesterday’s meeting at Wellington of 'delegates from Rugby unions throughout New Zealand, the Min a? watu representatives, Messrs Iv. Eg? lington and W. Carruthers, pencilled the following provisional dates for re? presentativo matches between Manawatu and visiting unions. In the match with New South WaleSj which will be played at Palmerston Norti}op August 22, the home will join forces with Horowhenua, whilo the two unions will also bo partnerec. in the game versus Wellington at Athletic Park pn September 26Versus Southland, at Palmerston North, August 12. Versus New South Wales, at Palmerston North, August 22. Versus Taranaki, at Palmerston North, Aftgust 26. Versuft , Wanganui, at Palmerston North, August J 5 of 29, Versus South Canterbury, at Pslmerston North, September 6. Versus Wellington, at Wellington, September 26. in addition to the above the ho me-and-home matches with Borpwiteiua will be played on dates to be gryanzed later, while there js a possibility that the representatives or the Wairoa Sub-Union will pay the local unioi a visit. Hawke’s Bay and Wairarapa are also due to visit this centre, but in view of the heavy programme whioh faces both these unions the fixtures will not be played unless at the expressed with of the Manawatu Union. This season these two unions are sending teams to the West Coast, and as they go north to Taranaki next sea? son it is probable that the games with Manawatu will be held over till imxt year. Canterbury js also sending a team to the Coast, but this union will also come north in pursuit of the llanfurly Shield. .
