TOKOMARU NEWS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Preparations are well in hand for thg grand bait to be given in the hall by the members of the Football Club on May 22nd. The alterations to the hall, consisting of new dressing rooms, a gallery, and electric lighting system, should help to make a great success of this function, also the fact that a professional orchestra hue been engaged for the occasion. The splendid condition of the door is also a noteworthy feature, and the epmmittee intends to use its best efforts to make the evening an enjoyable one fo allcomers. Miss Olive Wilton, after spending ,a few days at her home, ba» returned to Hastings. In the drawing for the first round of the competitions for the approaching football season, which opens on May 2nd, in the juniors (Northern) Miranpi are to play Tokomaru pn the local grounds on that date. On May-9tb, Awahau play Tokomaru at Awahau; pn May 16th, Tokomarn play Moutoa at Moutoa; on May 23rd, Tokomaru play Shannon at Tokomaru; and on May 29th, Tokomaru play Foxtoa at Tokomaru.
