CONTRACTS FOR SHIPS.
LONDON, April 30. The Blue Star Lino has received tenders for eight 12,000 ton refrigerated meat ships from British, Dutch and German shipbuilders. The Shipbuilding aud Shipping Record understands that the lowest Continental price is between £IB,OOO and £20,000 per steamer below the lowest British tender, but efforts are being made to retain tho contracts here.— A. and N.Z. cable.
