“TRY IN 1950.”

MUSSOLINI’S HUMOUR,

LONDON, April 11. The Italian Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini, learning, says the Rome correspondent of the Daily Mail, that the town of Tolmezzo proposed to place a commemorative tablet in the school where Signor Mussolini was a teacher in 1907, telegraphed to the Mayor, asking him to devote the money to some scholastic charity. “I don't wish to be transformed into marble before my time,” he said. “Try again in 1950.”
