WEDDING.
SHANNON—SHUTE
The marriage of Dorothy, _ only daughter of Mr and Mrs Neville Shute, of Bunnythorpe, to Graham V. Shannon, son of Mr and Mrs G. Shannon, of “Flaxbourne,” Newbury, Palmerston North, was solemnised in St. Bamaba’s Church, Bunnythorpe, on April 212nd. The service was_ con•i«u by the Rev. F. M. Kempthorne, of Aslihurst, and Miss Richardson presided at the organ. The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion by the ladies of St. Barnaba’s Guild. The bride, who entered the church with her father, was simply gowned in ivory brocaded satin, with long georgette sleeves and a front panel of pleated ivory georgette, held at the waist with orange blossoms and silver leaves. The bridal veil, which fell to the liem of the frock, was held in place with a circlet of silver leaves and orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses and cyclamen and maiden-hair fern. Miss Alice Downes, cousin of the bride, was the bridesmaid. She was in ft pretty frock of mauve brocaded satin, a silver bandeau on her hair. She carried a shower bouquet of pink roses and maiden-hair fern. Mr Harry Welsh, of Marton, was best man. Mr and Mrs Shannon left later in the day for the north. The bride travelled in a navy tailored costume and a smart black panne velvet hat.
