PREDICTED BY UNIONISTS. DEMANDS BY THE MEN. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received April 28, 10.40 a.m. LONDON, April 27. Mr Dobbie, president of the National Union of Itailwaymen, speaking at a meeting, predicted an early crisis, bringing an unparalleled situation in the railway world. He said that the men would present to the companies the first programme of minimum conditions ever demanded, including all the workers in Great Britain. He further predicted that the companies would reject the programme. He said the companies coinplaind that they would have to pay dividends out of the reserve funds, but he thought it would be better to pay the wages out of the reserve fund than to pay dividends to those who did not work. — Reuter.
