KING ALBERT’S BIRTHDAY.

LONDON, April 8. “He retires rises early, and is at work before 7 a.m.,” says tho Brussels correspondent of the Times of King Albert, who will be 50 years of age to-morrow. “Few sovereigns lead a more active life, though flying is the only sport iu which lie actively engages. He frequently pilots his own machine. “King Albert is occupied chiefly with Stute business, being in constant contact with his Ministers. In the evenings lie reads, being interested in subjects ranging from colonisation and medicine to purely political and literary works.”
