SHANNON NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) The Mayor has received a letter from Mr J. Linklatcr, M.P., in regard to Shannon and its relation to highway construction, and pointing out that the Highways Board lias decided to include all boroughs under 6000 for full benefits under the Highways scheme. Shannon will now receive the concessions it is justly entitled to. The following nominations have been received for the school committee: Messrs J. H. Roberts, R. L. Tippler, A. R. Blackwood, J. Ewart, N. Tippler, G. Gustofson, B. J. Brown, W. Phillip W. N. Brown, W. A. Lankshcar, _\l. S. Jamieson, J. T. Richeo. A. 11. Richards, G. Watkins, J. V. Burns. Messrs Anderson Carlyle, Warrington, Downes and Christian are not seeking re-election.
