FARMERS’ PRESIDENT.
NOT FAVOURING COUNTRY PARTY. Pei Preis Association. WELLINGTON, April 23. Mr W. J. Poison (Dominion President), addressing the New Zealand Farmers’ Union executive to-day, replying to an allegation that he favoured the Country Party, said that lie had proved himself as not favouring any party since he had held the reins, lie had been absolutely neutral und had sunk his own political feelings in favour of the union's motto: “Principles, not party.’’ A brief discussion followed and members stated that tho branches were, losing member.’. as a result of (he Dominion executive’s attitude on political matters.
